Nobody in the research we work from publishes a reliable price for shed demolition, so we will not invent one. What we can tell you is how the job is built. A metal or resin shed comes apart with hand tools in an hour and goes on the truck light. A wood shed with a shingled roof is heavier, takes longer and may have a floor framed over a slab or over sleepers that have been rotting for a decade. Either way the crew looks, names the price, and the work starts when you say yes.
Fences are priced by the run and the posts. Cedar pickets are light and fast; posts set in concrete take time to pull or cut, and the concrete footings are either left flush, pulled, or broken out, each at a different price. Playsets and trampolines come apart with wrenches and go on the truck in an afternoon.
Slabs, footings and what's underneath
A shed on a concrete slab has three endings: the slab stays and gets swept, the slab gets broken out and hauled as heavy debris, or the slab stays and we tell you it's a fine base for the next shed. Breaking out concrete is weight-priced and slower, so it is always its own line on the quote. Anything under a shed floor gets a look too: old chemicals, a mouse nest, a surprise second floor of stored lumber. We handle what we find and tell you about it.
HOA and city
Taking a shed down does not normally need a permit, but putting one up might, and the HOAs in Briargate, Monument and the newer subdivisions often have rules on sheds and fences. If you are replacing it, check before the new one goes up. Falcon and Peyton acreage lots have more outbuildings than anywhere else we work, and we are out there often.
What the price covers
Teardown
Hand tools and saws, roof first, walls flat, floor last. The neighbor's fence and your lawn are protected while it comes down.
Loading
Shingles, lumber, metal and the contents sorted so the metal goes to recycling and the weight is honest.
The slab
Left swept, or broken out and hauled as heavy debris at its own price. Your call after the crew looks.
Posts and footings
Fence posts pulled or cut; concrete footings left flush, pulled or broken out, each priced differently.

What the work looks like

Questions about shed demolition
Why no price on the shed?
Because the honest range depends on what it's made of, what's in it and what it sits on, and the published guides we rely on don't cover it. The look is free and the price comes before a single board moves.
Can you leave the slab?
Yes, swept clean. Most people do, because it is a ready base for the next shed or a patio.
Do you do the whole fence or just a section?
Either. A storm-damaged section, a full run, or the whole yard. Posts are the slow part and we say so in the quote.
What about the stuff inside the shed?
It goes too, sorted at the truck like any other load. Paint, solvents and chemicals can't ride with us; see the what-we-take guide.
Can you take down a deck?
Yes. Decks are weight-priced, and footings and the ledger board are quoted separately. We don't do structural work on the house.
Do I need a permit to tear a shed down?
Normally no. Putting one up may, and an HOA may have a say either way. Check before the replacement goes in.
